Bridget’s project is storytelling that breathes. It dances off the page and moves through communities. Through her multimedia work, she gathers the vibrant, often unheard stories of African and Caribbean diasporas, connecting generations through their shared heritage. As part of her Make Happen Master’s endeavour, Bridget creates immersive events such as Echoes of Windrush. These events invite communities to celebrate their stories through fashion, music, spoken word, and dance, all within a welcoming Caribbean-style afternoon tea setting. Participants are encouraged to share personal migration stories linked to meaningful items or memories. Others simply come to listen, reflect, dance, and strengthen connections across generations. Every event Bridget hosts has a clear intention: Strengthen cultural identity. Deepen intergenerational relationships. Empower communities to reclaim their voices. And inspire meaningful change.
