About

The Make Happen Institute is where you stop planning and start shipping.

You're here because you've got work that matters - a book, an album, an exhibition, a business, a mountain to climb - and you keep not finishing it (or even getting started?). You've got notebooks full of ideas, folders full of drafts, and a head full of excuses about why this isn't the right time.

We call bullshit on that. (If you expect gentler language from your institutions you’re probably at the wrong postcode.)

We're not interested in your potential. We're interested in what you're actually going to make and put into the world. Our MA Creative Practice isn't about learning more theory or adding another credential to your wall. It's about getting your work done, shipping it to real audiences, and learning from what actually happens - not what you imagine might happen.

If you want someone to tell you your ideas are brilliant and you'll do it when you're ready, we're not your people. If you want a community that will call you on your delays while supporting you through the productive discomfort of actually shipping something incomplete - welcome.

Welcome to the Make Happen Institute, where possibility meets action, and creativity finds its wings. At the Make Happen Institute, we believe in the boundless potential within each person and the power of taking bold steps toward realizing your dreams. Here, you won’t find rigid formulas or cookie-cutter approaches. Instead, we offer a vibrant community and a dynamic program designed to ignite your unique vision and drive it into the world.

The University of Doing

This isn't where you learn about  your practice. It's where you do the practice.

You Make Stuff and Ship It
Not when it's perfect. Not when you're ready. Now. You'll work on real projects, expose them to real audiences, and iterate based on what actually happens - not what you hoped would happen.

You Get Called On Your Bullshit
Twice-weekly accountability sessions. Fortnightly Evolution Labs. Unlimited small group and 1:1 support. When you start making excuses, someone will notice. When you need help navigating the discomfort of shipping something incomplete, someone will be there.

You Learn By Doing, Not Studying
No lectures. No dissertation. Just participatory workshops where you work on your actual projects - your book, your album, your exhibition, your business - with specialist mentorship and peer feedback from people who are also in the arena.

The Deal:

This isn't self-help. This is a Masters degree for people who are tired of having brilliant ideas they never finish. You'll learn through an Act-Ship-Debrief cycle, which means you'll be uncomfortable a lot. But you'll also actually complete things.

We're not here to validate your potential or tell you you're talented. We're here to help you ship.

Our Manifesto

Our Manifesto

01

BE AUTHENTIC

Your unique perspective is your greatest asset. Use it. Don’t dilute your voice to fit in.

02

THERE'S NO RIGHT WAY

Don’t be confined by what is expected. There is just what works.

03

VOLUME UP!

Ideas are the whispers, your action is your roar!

04

SHOW YOUR WORK

A hidden project is a dead project. Put your work out there. Let it collide with the world and evolve.

05

CHALLENGE THE NORMS

Tradition is just peer pressure from dead people. Question it. Make the old ways defend their existence.
