Her own growing journey instigated by a sensory memory – travelling back decades to a warm September day, air thick with the strong fragrance of tomato plants. "The scent of tomatoes is an instant time machine. I can feel the warmth on my face, the unmistakeable scent”. Vix shares “It’s a smell that doesn't just remind me of my grandfather's greenhouse in the 1980s; it transports me there in a heartbeat. A visceral reminder of how deeply entwined our senses are with our past, and how something as simple as a tomato can hold so much personal history and emotion."
