Tommy founded Drop The Mic Productions, a Bristol-based company making video content that helps independent music artists grow their fanbase online.
For years, Tommy had an idea. A creative business that would support music artists — especially those in hip-hop — by producing professional, attention-grabbing video content. But the idea sat on the shelf, stuck behind procrastination, perfectionism, and a long list of excuses.
Then he joined the Make Happen programme — and everything changed.
Now, Tommy is the founder of Drop The Mic Productions, a Bristol-based content creation company focused on helping music artists grow their fanbase online. From music videos to behind-the-scenes footage and live performance clips, Drop The Mic is all about amplifying independent artists and helping them show up professionally across digital platforms.
“My endeavour is to help music artists get seen,” Tommy says. “We create the kind of content that helps artists connect with fans and build momentum online. It’s creative, collaborative, and made for real-world impact.”
The Make Happen programme gave him the push to stop overthinking and start building.
“I used to wait for the perfect time — to feel ready, prepared, qualified. But Make Happen taught me to get out there, share my unfinished work, and stop being afraid of failure. That shift helped me turn the idea into an actual company — faster than I ever thought possible.”
