Molly
A different path for home-educating families
“It’s taught me what it really means to hold space - not just to lead, but to listen and shape things with people.”
Molly runs Different Path, a community for parents exploring home education that meets online and in person, including at her allotment.

When Molly set out to create Different Path, her vision was simple: to build a supportive space for parents exploring home education — somewhere free from judgement, full of honesty, and open to conversation. What started as an idea for online listening circles has since grown into something much more grounded, alive, and connected.
Different Path is now a growing community of parents who meet both online and in person — including around Molly’s allotment, where the group now gathers regularly. What began as informal meetups has organically evolved into shared projects and purposeful activity. Together, they’ve eaten meals, held conversations that matter, and next week… they’re building a mud kitchen.
“The offering has become a direct reflection of what people actually want and need,” Molly says. “It’s taught me what it really means to hold space — not just to lead, but to listen and shape things with people.”
The Make Happen programme played a big role in the journey — helping Molly move from ideas to action, and opening the door to opportunities, like having an article published in Juno magazine following the programme’s Engagement Residential.
At the heart of it all is this: Different Path isn’t just about home education. It’s about community, conversation, and choosing not to do things the way they’ve always been done — together.
